    I agree that talent has to be challenged to better the person. I never stated that my child was a great ballplayer. I was only making the point that you don't have to play travel ball at such an early age to learn the fundamentals of the game. I am one that fully recognizes my childs abilities and lack thereof. Everyone's dream is to play a sport at the DI level however reality is most will play far below that. One of the reasons we decided to encourage her to play travel ball was to expose herself to the game at a competitive level and this was encouraged for several reasons. For her to see the sport at a different level, for her to decide if softball is what she wanted to play (Playing baseball and switching to softball was difficult for her because at the high school level she felt the girls were not competitive) and for her to improve her skills. We have accomplished two of our goals and if I could "get my votes right",;) I could accomplish my third one.Yes, you probably do know whoI am now or at least should be able to figure it out. ;)

    YEA, I think I know who you are ,and I appreciate your support for me...I'm really not a bad guy just got bad raps here and there...I've been doing this for a long time,and feel that all of us can stand to approve in softball or any other fad of life....didn't mean to upset anyone... my wife tells me that I'm very opinionated about things.....hard to change personality.....GURU

    sorry i missed you, but got mobbed by girls and parents alike with new bat. i went in park with 10 bats, came out with torn shirt, lost hat and had to run. pm me with next tournament and i'll come visit.

    this is an amazing monday, saw a little smoulder when i left this morning and came back to a blaze this afternoon. all over 8u travel ball????? is it that boring time of the year yet??? you know, the time when nothing is going on and we look for something or someone to do????? lol

    WHY NOT....If we can dress up like dolls and parade them around a stage in pagents and then get them flipping for cheerleading at 4, Let's get 4u TB started. Rocket Tech will make a killing... Hey Tiger started at 3 LOL... This board has truley entertained me today and helped me through my slump... THANKS TBR....;)

    News Flash....4U world series is at Disney world...when they lose focus, send them over to Epcot for a bit. Come back tomorrow, do it again.

    Of course, bottle of water is $8, breakfast (corn flakes and skim milk) is $23.50.....
