    on the baseball forum, there are parents that started training their boys to "switch-hit" at ages 4- 6.

    Southwestern Randolph HS has 4 seniors that have played togeather since 7 years old .They played rec ball back then till mid summer ,picked all-star team from the rec teams and the first place teams coach then went to about two little travel tournaments like nsa,usssa 8u state.The girls loved it,the parents loved it and they got to win state and get there trophy like there big sister's. And those seniors still talk about it from time to time . And if they they win State as seniors this year would'nt there be some memories to spill out then

    So it can be a good thing if like eveything else,it's not overdone

    i think its wonderful that kids play at 8 yo and their parents are there supporting and having FUN too!!

    working with several pitchers who started at 8 and they are having FUN in Rec and Travel Ball leagues....great stuff!!

    I think its wonderful we have a 4U world series. But, why are we not starting them sooner? ;)
