    Watauga 6
    ACReynolds 31

People will see the score and assume that Watauga was exposed, but I think Reynoldsrocks will agree that this one was closer than the final score indicates. The Pioneers had some success on offense against the vaunted Rockets D, but just shot themselves in their collective feet over and over and over. And over again. 5 turnovers and also a fumbled snap that resulted in a turnover on downs on a 4th an inches. And a TD called back on a penalty (followed, of course, by a turnover on the next play). Most of these turnovers were unforced--fumbled snaps and bad QB-RB exchanges--but credit Reynolds, after a scoreless first quarter it took advantage of Watauga's mounting mistakes.

Tanner Martin intercepted two passes for Watauga and Reynolds coughed it up four times overall. Really the game came down to which team converted the other team's mistakes into points, and that team was decidedly ACR.

Spencer had a huge game with at least 3 scores for ACR, including a long kick off return to start the second half that made the score 21-0. I'll leave Reynoldsrocks to fill you in on the rest of the stats. I'd guess Breitenstein ended up with 75 or so yards and the team's lone TD.

Watauga's 9-game winning streak dating to '05 comes to an end; Reynolds has won 12 straight games against NW4A conference foes.

This was a barnburner of a game as converted defender Stephen Haynes kicked a 26 yard field goal as time expired to win a game that was back and forth all night long. HUGE WIN for McDowell!!

    McDowell
Terrence Kincaid: 28 carries, 248 yards, 2 TD's*; 94 yard kickoff return for TD
Matt Amerto: 4-13, 64 yards, TD
    Stephen Haynes: 3-4 PAT's, 26 yard FG; 6 points

*Set single-season record for most rushing TD's in a season (prev. Marcus Stacey, 1993)
