    That's a pretty bold statement...

I think Cougars win by at least 7, Titans win by about the same margin and Watauga wins by four scores.

BTW, a McDowell win would make them playoff eligable ( 4 wins)

Cougars where able to get away with turnovers and penalties against a very soft first half of the season. Lost 2 of 3 and I am afraid it only gets worse. Dont get me wrong! I hope the Cougars can get it together they are VERY talented. BUT, NOUGH SAID!!!!!!

Okay in all seriousness here are my thoughts on this weeks NW4A games......

I am thinking Freedom is turning things around now and are making their playoff push, and with a nice showing against us, and a win last week I am going to give them the home field advantage.....Freedom 17 Alexander Central 14

Watauga has that back that East Burke won't be able to stop, although the Cavs will put some points on the board it won't be enough.....Pioneers 38 Cavs 21

South Caldwell seems to have fallen off the train with three straight conference losses. A loss Friday could mean an 0-6 conference season and no playoffs (as no conference wins COULD keep them out) especially with ACR and Alexander Central coming up next. My how things have changed in a year, but I'm going with the home team and the durable running back in this one as well.....Titans 34 Spartans 31

Watauga 28 East Burke 17...The Cavs look to be done after losing to McDowell last week. That game was their chance to begin a late season push. Watauga should respond well after being thumped by Reynolds.

McDowell 31 S Caldwell 27... Titans can get playoff eligable with a win. South has lost 3 in a row and a trip to Marion makes it 4. Buggy will get 200 yards and 3 TD's.

Alexander Central 21 Freedom 14...This is battle of two teams that are turnover prone. Team with the fewest giveaways will get the W. Cougars have lost 10 in a row to the Patriots. Freedom must win out to be eligible for the post season. Cougars coming off a tough loss to Hickory. The best unit on this feild will the Alexander's Defense. They are almost as good as Reynolds on the Defensive side. Cougars turn some Freedom mistakes into points and get a win.

    Reynolds gets a rest!

How many teams from the NW4A go to the playoffs this year?

ACR and Watauga have it clinched. If they take 3 and Freedom slides by AC tomorrow night, they have a do-able schedule with McDowell and Least Burke to close out the season.
