You beat me to it, coach. Another coup by Coach Pollard. Congratulations to Taylor and his family; the Mountaineers are getting a good one.

Because of all of the names that are posted in regards to commitments, we sometimes forget to post about the most important thing. What a truly proud moment this is to the families! My sincerest congratulations to the Honeycutt family...the journey continues

Ragsdale RHP and SS Catlin Carter has signed with UNC Asheville. Catlin is a great pitcher and a pretty good shortstop and is a great pickup for the Bulldogs.

Catlin was 7-1 last year with 81 Ks before taking a tough 2 hit loss to DH Conley in the state final. He was also second on the team in hits and led the team in RBIs.

As good a starter as Catlin is I loved watching him come in as a closer last season. You always knew the lead was in good hands.

Congrats to Catlin and now lets see if we can get Brent O'Berry signed.

I hear I just barely beat you to it!! Mark Tarleton asked me when I was gonna post , and I told him I had, he called you cause I guess I wasnt quick enough.

It must be tough being old......

Seriously though, Taylor is a great kid from a great family. He will be a nice addition to the Mountaineers and we wish him nothing but success.

BTW Braves... next time you chat with Mark ask him about the buffet in Louisburg, rumor has it they ran him out cause he definitely got his money's worth

Louisburg Times and Picayune "Restaurant was Closed Temporarily"

One of Louisburg's finer restaurants was forced to close its doors this weekend. It appears that a customer took the sign "All you can eat" literally. After the General Manager, Louis Hamburg, politely suggested to the customer that there were others that wanted to eat and that the restaurant was running out of food, the customer replied, "Too bad...they should have gotten here earlier".

Mr. Hamburg was forced to close the restaurant in fear of a riot. Mr. Hamburg, "I've never seen anything like it. The customer had two forks in each hand and he would use them like Dr. Octo of Spiderman fame. He was so quick with his what appeared to be four arms that, at times, he would remove the food on other people's plate as they walked by his table...and the customers didn't realize it until they sat down." According to Mr. Hamburg, "Its not certain if we will re-open again"

    Coach...was this Mark?

I am ashamed to admit it... but the story I heard was very similiar. Some said it put the fear of God into them, others said it was a pure work of art. Either way, many said they had never seen anything like it!!

I did hear the food was good, but imagine this.... I didn't get to eat either!!

    Something to watch.

Coach E. I am afraid that I had to witness this "event"
1st: he destroyed the salad bar
2nd: he devastated the hot bar
finally: he attacked the poor defenseless desert bar

    It was brutal.....

I only regret that we did not get it on film.

    The Murphy House?

I would have to say that I have seen quite a few people shut this place down. Alot of them were players. Now the coach has gone and done it!

I wish you had...I bet he looked like Edward Scissorhands the way he manipulated those forks. :grossergrinser:

Poor Mr. Louis Hamburg....he probably feared for his life when he asked Mark to leave.
