Since DIII schools can't offer athletic scholarships, I'd be interested in details of the DIII recruiting process.
Seems like most of the interest would have to be initiated by the player and that academics would play a bigger role than at the DI level.

DIII schools will send you letters about their programs....the player should definately let any DIII schools know if they are interested in playing baseball and attending school there.

Most of the D3's do their recruiting after the November signing period.

    absolutely...

correct 007! And yes it is best for the player to initiate contact for a better chance of playing their...remember DIII ball is at the same level as would be "elite" HS baseball teams so it is or at least can be quite competitive..do the research ansd you will find some great programs not only in NC but also throughout the US!

some get recruited from Impact camps...
or i guess any other camps..

D-3 gets alot of players.. i consider it more like recruiting students and choose a baseball team from that...

i know some of the d-3 schools allow a student to play in 2 sports...
    Methodist is one ..

Don't let D III schools scare you cause even though they can't offer athletic scholarships, they do come up with some pretty interesting academic aid. If your like me, money is money, call it what you want. (athletic scholarship or academic assitance) The bottom line is your playing your sport, getting a education and saving money in you wallet.
