    Game summary ... I'll eat a little of that tasty crow here ... Cougars defense absolutely mashed Watauga.
    AC is a very big strong team .. not sure how they've managed to lose 3 games.

    Cougars make a Statement

    It's simple. The Cougars coming into tonight were minus 12 in turnovers, and had more penaltys than the Oakland Raiders. Tonight they played very well on offense. The defense has been great all year. When the Cougars hold on to the ball, don't snap it over the QB's head, and keep the penalty yardage to less than 100, they are a very good team. They held Britenstein to 65 yards.

    No offense to Hickory and Freedom, but they got lucky and caught the Cougars on nights when they were shooting themselves in the foot. Even the AC Reynolds game which they lost 28-10, the Cougars turned it over 3 times in the first 20 minutes of the game. I don't know how they will play against South Caldwell next Friday, or for that matter in the playoffs, but if they play like they did tonight, WATCH OUT FOR THE COUGARS!!!

    Bomb Finally Blows

    The ticking time bomb aka. AC Cougars finally went off tonight at Watauga's expense. The two players selected to the Shrine Bowl showed why. AC probably beats anybody in the conference tonight. It will be interesting to see how things shake out next week.
