    I like it.

Hey my DD trains with a wood bat because of the wieght and because of the instant fedback that if you don't hit it on the sweet spot it kinda stings. I like the idea of a woody tourny. The only thing is that it could become expensive. Kids today don't know how to hit with a wooden bat and my experience is that they break a heck of alot of them. One weekend at a WB baseball tourney me and another coach spent $200 each on bats and Mizuno furnished the first 3 every game. I like the idea. As far as the wieght goes I thinks the lightest maple bats available are -4. I'm not sure about composite bats or laminate bats. Go for and let me know when.:newsmile49:

LOL GURU.. dont you get enough angst from all this anyway? I know I do! The point of the wood bats in baseball anyway is to see if the best kids can hit with a smaller sweet spot because thats what they use at the professional level and its tough for scouts to judge a prospects hitting ability when they use an aluminum bat. Since there is no difference in the bats for college or even profesionally the point wouldn't apply here.

Wood bats are great to use in a cage and especially off a tee......but in a game, every other ball hit would be a foul ball. The tournament director would go broke!

But you got to give guru credit for trying to think of something different.

I like the idea of the wood bats....I have 20-30 here at the house from picking them up at minor league games, souvenier shops, key chains.

Oh, sorry, those are the really, really small ones. My bad...:laugh1:

Guru thinks he is going somewhere....gimme a break....

What would the phone company do without his using 10,000 minutes per month recruiting/keeping/being political with everyone????:knuddel:

What would the big oil companies do without him venturing to a tourney he knows ABSOLUTLEY nobody at and spending $30 in gas???:SierraC3:

What would his wife do with him at HOME ALL DAY on a saturday???:trampoline:

What would Rodney do without Guru?? Well, ok, probably better, but thats another issue all together....

And what would the Blues do without their matriarch? (yes, I know that is for a mother figure, but Rodney is our Patriarch)....:newsmile10:
