Your probably right, ACR has given up just 398 yards rushing ALL YEAR in 12 games, but now they have met their match!

Breitenstein was responsible for 25% of their rushing yards allowed all year? Wow!

Everybody on this thread have great points. ACR has a great team. But my question is can they beat a team like AC twice in one season, that has improved drastically on offense and has undoubtably one of the best deffensive fronts in the state. I think if you are completely counting AC out of this game, you are seriously mistaken. If you want to look at stats look at Alexanders stats in the last 3 games. They crushed Watagua 34-3 and held one of the best running backs in the state to 69 yards. To have scored 34 points against a team of this caliber, Alexander has deff. come together as an offense and learned what will work. The Cougars match up every where on the feild. This will be a hard faught battle. ACR has to be a little nervous with the Cougars coming into town.

WHY should ACR be nervous? We already know we can beat the cougars, by 18 and on the road no less. Now they have to come to OUR HOUSE, and yet they are the ones that haven't beat us. I think they might should be a little nervous!

P.S. ACR has improved a little since then. I know Alexander Central has improved, but believe it or not, so has ACR.

I think you may be just a little over confident about your Rockets. :handjob:

This coming from people saying Alexander Central is better then ACR? Which team lost 3 of their last 7? Like you say numbers don't lie and our numbers this year haven't lied!

Just so you know, ACR is taking Alexander Central VERY serious and I can assure you the team isn't resting on what they did two months ago against the cougars. They know the Cougars are a very good team and the Rockets will treat them as such.

I think that both of these teams knew they would see each other again. I do not know how much better the Rockets are now as opposed to then. I do know that Alexander Central went through a transformation following a hose job at Hickory and a horrible performance against Freedom. They are now the sum of the parts, and many of the parts are pretty good. I can't see that either team has a huge advantage in any area. Reynolds has more speed, but the Cougars are probably a bit more physical up front. Turnovers will be a big factor. The Cougars have made a big improvement in that area. AC Reynolds will challenge the Cougars with the big WR, Anderson. The TD he scored late in the 1st half in Taylorsville broke the Cougars back even more than the turnovers. Look out for a mob to show up from Alexander County.

i apologize if I offended you in some way. I'm not saying these things in any attempt to pull for either team. I am just making an observation.

I think it will be a good football game, probably will be the best game of this week's playoff (I Hope, I'm going to watch).

    Good luck to all.
