4A Round 2

the hit on Britenstein was nasty. He was the first down to defend on a punt and the Page return man was running to his right and Britenstein was closing in on him. It looked like he had the angle to make a great hit on the Page player when this HUGE Page player came up and blindsided Britenstein. The hit made a loud crushing thud as Britenstein was violently thrown to the turf. He laid motionless for about 5 seconds and was helped off the field and didn't return. Alot of people sitting around me started screaming foul when they realized it was Britenstein, but to me it looked like a clean hit. The most impressive thing about the game to me was that Watauga actually came out and played better in the 2nd half without Britenstein. (who finished with 8 carries for 89yds)

 

Some people thought it was a clean hit at first, but when you watch the replay, it absolutely was NOT! Helmet to helmet - the other guy's arms never even attempted to block Breitenstein - the referee should have called it period! Most of the stadium HEARD the hit! The ref missed it and hopefully that was his last game this season.
