Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
My hats off to the Pioneers, you played a near perfect game and did everything you needed to do to beat us tonight and deserved this win. ACR didn't play up to their potential tonight and part of that was ya'll and part of it was that they were "expecting" to come out and just go through the motions and win. Watauga played with much more heart tonight and really seemed to want this win more. I hate it for our guys, but if ACR had to lose and not win the State Title I am glad it was to a classy bunch of players like the Pioneers. They played and won with class tonight and I respect that totally. Good luck to Watauga next week as I wish you nothing but the best against West Charlotte.

    wow!

well i definitely feel like ACR shoulda lost last week.. but congrats to watauga for a wonderful season and going in to asheville and beating a good ACR team... this definitely has got to be one of the most unpredicted upsets in recent history... especially for the playoffs cause u know ACR couldnt.. or at least shouldnt have been taking watauga lightly because in the playoffs all teams are good but i think we all felt at least all except for the folks in boone that reynolds would win.. but the only ones who have to believe are those in the watauga uniforms and they went out and capitalized on ACR mistakes which let me say.. are few and far between! but congrats to watauga and good luck next week!

    Incredible Win

First let me say that "Reynoldsrocks" is a true sport through and through. It would have been easy for him to have not logged on here tonight. But he and the ACR program are a classy bunch. Next, I want to take this time to congratulate Coach Adrian Snow and his staff. Coach Snow is a true old fashioned "Ball Coach". He coaches and makes decisions thats best for his team, and does so without an agenda. Many times this year Watauga has been undersized, overmatched and just was not as talented at most positions. But they have not met a team that was more prepared, better conditioned or showed more heart than his team. The sign of a true champion and fierce competitor shows best in the fourth quarter and your trailing. Three weeks in a row WHS has won ballgames in the fourth quarter all by one point. I truly hope that Coach Snow has found a home here in Boone NC and stays a long time. Yep, Coach Adrian Snow is a Champion, and if his team keeps buying into his program they may be in two more weeks. Thanks Coach

    Friday's forecast

"Friday we'll feel the coldest air of the season so far as a cold airmass out of Western Canada arrives. It's far too early for details, but a precipitation changeover to snow showers is possible late Thursday night lasting into Friday. It will be windy and temperatures will fall through the day Friday."

    from booneweather.com

Looks more and more like them West Charlotte boys will be having to deal with the elements. Game time temps likely in the 20s, and windy too I'll bet.

App. has a game there the next day and it would probably be too much trouble to get the place cleaned up and the field ready for the saturday game.

Adding to this, with the size of Kidd Brewer Stadium it would take away the home field advantage that Watauga has. There wouldnt be near as much crowd noise as their would be at Watauga and also with the weather predictions, it wouldnt make the field conditions tough on the grassy turf ASU has, however it will effect a natural grass field at Watauga. Although it would be a great place to play, I think that the game should be played at a Watauga High School and I'm sure the people from Watauga would agree. And ASU hosts Montana State on Saturday in the second round of the Div. I/AA playoffs.

To be honest, the Regional Finals should be played at a neutral location, just like in basketball.
