    South Piedmont Conf

    Piedmont 1
    Anson -2 (close 2nd)
    Porter Ridge 3
    Parkwood-4
    Sun Valley-5
    AL Brown-6
    Concord-7

Piedmont returns almost everyone from last year...Anson also and adds a great player in freshman Hailey Jarman....Oh, yea, she plays for us on the side.... :)

    big south 3a/4a

due to injuries and graduations, this conference will be hard to call.

    4a
east gaston could dominate with crest and ashbrook (lost top pitcher to injury) behind.

    3a
    anyones guess
southpoint lost a great pitcher last year, but always tough
north gaston could dominate depending on coaching
forestview, well is forestview, ya never know who's coming back
huss, young, i mean young team with potential five freshman starters and rookie pitching., but lots of determination, speed and excellent contact hitting might work out well for us.

    2007 HS season

I'm going way out on the end of the limb ! Ha Ha

3A - KM wins 20 + games 1-0 behind the Queen of the Killa Rise .
if the mounties can score at least 1 run per game. They go all the way.
4A - Butler will dominate again in 4A. CC Vikings are right there w/ N.Davidson.and then a close call to fill in my 4th would be Hopewell.
Any of these first three will not be a surprise. If it's anyone else
    it would be a surprise.

North Davidson will once again breeze through for 1st riding Glosson's arm, for the last time.West Forsyth will capture 2nd, as they were playing good ball in playoffs last season. East Rowan & Davie Cty will duke it out for 3rd. This conference sent 4 teams to playoffs last season.

    NPC

West Rowan will also take conference. Strong offense & defense will offset pitching. Northwest Cabarrus will finish strong 2nd, & may pull a surprise. West Iredell will be strong, & could be a frontrunner also.

I am going out on a limb & picking Southwest Randolph taking state this yr. in 3a. They got a taste of it last season, & there is just too darn much talent on that team.

This will be the last HS season for a lot of girls, & I feel that the 07 class is one of the top classes talent wise.I would just like to say that I have really enjoyed watching some of this bunch over the yrs, & good luck in your futures whether softball is in it or not.

Want to wish everyone good luck, & hope each has a fun & safe season. Hope the injuries will be at a minimum !!!! It want be long till "The greatest show on dirt will begin !!"

I agree the 2007 class was one of best ever in NC and there are some big time schools waiting for these young ladies to arrive. Good luck to all the HS teams this spring, ladies stay injury free and finish your career with a bang.:woot:

    1. Alexander Central. Pitching should carry them.
    2. AC Reynolds. Only Question here is new coach that I know nothing about but they have some good palyers coming back with some pitching
    3. Freedom. This program is starting to mature
    4. Watagua. Could be here or better if Riley is healthy
    5. Mcdowell. They also have a new coach and don't know how that will affect them
    6. East Burke This is a team that could be better than 6th. Their coach did a good job last year but they still need some pitching. If they developed one in the off season they could move up
    7. South Caldwell. Never thought I would see this program at the bottom. Just goes to show you what a difference a coach can make. I've heard some good players for them may not even play this year. That hurts.
