It is very important, but even more so with a school like UNC. With 18 pitchers on the roster and an unbelievable class, pitching-wise, coming in next year...a good attitude is a must. The fact that UNC has signed the #1, #2 and #6 ranked HS pitchers in the nation for next year will cause some mighty fine competition.

And the fact that those 3 pitchers mentioned are also very good students as well, I bet they end up at school vs signing pro contracts. It will be interesting!

    Congratulations Michael!!!!

Congratulations to Michael, Asheville has landed a real power hitter and a pitcher who I think has still a huge upside. I look forward to watching him on the mound this spring for the Hopewell Titans.

Mike and Debbie Vaughn his parents I know are so proud of him and his work ethic, Congratulations to you all. :newsmile56: :newsmile56: :newsmile56:

Man...it seems like Michael was a freshman yesterday. How time flies! What a great player and person UNC-A is getting. There are a lot of good folks up there and they just got another one....congratulations Michael and obviously to Mike and Debbie as well.

Wait til ya meet the Buchanans...it's worth committing to UNC-A just to be around them. Absolutely one of the best baseball families you will ever meet...and their son Ben is not too bad either :xyxthumbs:

I whole heartily agree. The Buchanans are the best and the Schumer's add some nice spice to the game of life as well! Best of luck to the Titans and UNC-A Bulldogs this season.
