The NW4A as I see it will be dominated by Alexander this year but the battle for second place should be a good one. Reynolds, Mcdowell, Freedom Watagua and East Burke could all have a shot. East Burke probablly the weakest of these. I'm sorry to say South Caldwell will not be a contender at all. We lost a lot from last year including our long time assistant coach who was basically our head coach for the last 7 or 8 years. He decieded not to coach any more and will be sorely missed as he did everything for SC softball. We desperatly need some knowledgable coaching help to get our program back on track. oh well maybe next year!!!

Don't know if you're talking about KM, but they will be fine. I have a feeling they will hit the ball better this year, so that will be a positive. Of course, the defense will be depending on some newcomers, so that is a question mark. A catcher needs to step up to fill Buchanon's shoes!

As far as the most important aspect of this game, they have it one more time. Morgan will dominate more than ever. The only challenge would be Enka or at the final 4, where one run can make the difference.

As for the rest of that conference, RS Central has a new coach (I think?), but they have a solid team and a good pitcher. East Rutherford has enough good players to make a good team. They also have pitchers galore, which a lot of other good all around teams would love to have. Burns (also has another new coach) and Chase have some good players, too. Shelby will definitely finish last. Let's see:

    1. Kings Mtn.
    2. East Rutherford
    3. RS Central
    4. Chase
    5. Burns
    6. Shelby

2nd and 3rd is a toss up. Actually, I think 2-5 could be decided on which team concentrates on softball, works the hardest, and has some players come through. I believe the rule allowed the conditioning/small practice to start December 1st? There's 2 weeks left. Whose been doing what????

    Tuff conference

Don't think peple realize how competitive this conference is. RS, Chase and East all have very good programs and ball players. KM just over shadows them. RS does have a new coach, don't know how that will affect them, but will have 6 seniors that are 4 yr starters. Chase has some great players and will be tuff if they play together. East always has a good team and this year will be no different. The biggest problem all these teams will have is KM.

No kid should have to fill anothers shoes! They should bring their own!

Sorry ladiesbballfan, but I don't think anyone should ever say that one kid has to fill the shoes of another! All new kids for any position, should bring their own shoes and fill them!! Everyone is different and everyone plays any particular position their own way. They just need to play their position to the best of their ability! You know when people say that, they have some shoes to fill, it can make a kid think that they don't have the stuff to do the job! Give them a chance! You never know who's reading this! That kid trying to fill those old shoes might be reading this! If you line up 5 pitchers, each will have their own way of pitching, but they can all get the job done! In different ways, yes, but that is what a strong team has, more than one weapon! Not trying to be confrontational, just have been in that situation, it isn't fun! :bounce:
