Does having a Girlfriend help or hurt a player's performance

OK, Now I'm scared that I may accidentally sit next to this guy at a game.
Anybody else watch that TV show "Criminal Minds"

 

I was using sarcasm to demonstrate how rediculous some people are about their kids in high school sports. You can work hard in sports and still have a life. When you are on the field, work hard. When you are in the weight room, work hard. When you are done with that, have a good time. Baseball seasons are long. Ask the guys in the bigs about blowing off steam. Whatever you have to do to be relaxed once you step on the field. If it takes having a girlfriend, hell go get you one. Just know how to separate the two. If you got baggage, something on your shoulders on gameday leave it at the gate. Remember when you step in between those white lines nothing else matters. When the game is over and you walk back out of the gate if you want to pick it back up, then do it. But if you do or not, thats up to you.

 

Good point hotcorner. High school is supposed to be fun.

 

having played in hs, college and the minor leagues and having coached as well i believe i can say with relative certainty that where as the average male of that age thinks about , well you know what, about 75% of the time baseball players think about it around 95% of the time. a former teammate in the minor leagues who was married but who's wife was back home in cal used to say when asked if he was married, " yeah, but i'm not a fanatic about it"
