We played players 8-12 on the bench during the fourth quarter of those games...that's why.

    The Real Problem

Has anyone addressed this issue of whether some of these administrators and AD's are making sure some of these programs have what they need? Are their middle school programs in good shape? Are the parents making sure these kids start young, and work year around? I know some schools only care about certain sports, and then again, some just don't have the athletes from time to time. There are blowouts in every sport. Baseball and softball have mercy rules. I think football has the option of using a running clock at a certain point.

Langston has pushed for a running clock in basketball when the lead gets to a certain point. I don't like the idea of jumping on a coach about a lopsided score. Most coaches I know would much rather play a competitive game and lose than win a blowout. I'm sure you count Coach Fox in that group!

    Minutes Played

We played every kid in every quarter against AC, yea Morrison and Ford were in late, but Morrison was on fire and it was part of her minutes- pre-planned. We subbed the entire 2nd team in the 1st quarter while we were loosing and they played 2.5 minutes. 9 of 12 kids scored in the game, sorry everyone feels that we ran it up, and if our "stars" were to get hurt then that's for us to worry about not TBR. We had lost 4 of 5 and as Dan said were in "meltdown" mode so....Below are minutes played in the AC game, can any other team compare to that balance? And these minutes were balance in every quarter, not just sub minutes late.

    Morrison- 22 mins
    Ford- 18 ( 2 mins in 2nd quarter)
    O. Surratt-16
    C. Connelly-16- Freshman
    C. Surratt- 15
    J. Conley- 14
    A. Mull- 12
    B. Roberts- 14- Freshman- just moved up from JV
    K. Costner- 10- Freshman- just moved up from JV
    L. Chapman- 12
    J. Caldwell- 4- Injured
    E. Wright- 8 - Freshman

Freedom, I'm glad you guys got back on track. But where were you when you were losing??

Just so you guys know, I'm sure a coach would rather win in a blowout then lose a competitive game. It's always better when you win :)

Also, I know Morrison had been out some lately, so she probably needed to get back in game shape and get her timing back. You can only do that at game speed. Looks pretty balanced to me!

Flawed Logic.....you are trying to say that everyone played...well thats great...but the bottom line is you had your 2 best players in the game shooting at will with less than 4 min left and it was as 30pt game.....That is classless and unsportsmanlike.....call it what you want....this is what im calling it....and given the chance Ill call out your coach again if i witness it.

Im done with this....you folks rationalize by making stats look the way you want.

This bickering is pointless. I also think its funny that fans of schools other than Alexander are complaining.

Where are the Coug fans in this matter, they were the ones who got blown out.

Coach Fox is a class act and personally I would rather have her than Mike Silver but thats a different story and hopefully this doesn't rain in the McDowell fans on me. Its nothing against Silver. I rather have Coach Fox as a coach than anyother coach in the league.

However, I will end with this. What goes around, comes around. If she was trying to run up the score it will come back to her. Maybe not from Alexander but somewhere else.

No rain from this McDowell fan. We let the play of our players do the talking for us. As a fan who has been following the Lady Titans since this school began let me say I have seen a lot of good coaches come and goin the NW4A. I believe the best {other than coach Silver} was marsha Crump of Freedom. Another was the coach that retired from Reynolds last year. I stated on this board earlier that Coach Amber Fox could become another Crump. Only time will tell. These past few weeks have swayed my opinion somewhat about coach Fox. Her team has lost some suspect games. She seems to rely to much on Ali Ford and cannot adjust when Ford runs into a defence that slows her down. Great coaches like Silver and Crump can make those adjustments. Great players can make average coaches look very good. That is what has happened at Freedom lately. When Coach Fox acheives a record like coach Silver then we'll compare them.

Well, Here it is from a AC parent,i don't think the coach was running up the score intenionally, we was just not playing defence, true the coach could of took ford and 42 out, but look at it this way, if it was my daughter scoring i would want her to keep scoring, we were beat and our girls were just out played, i give credit to our girls, they come out everyday and work there butts off. Freedom is just better than us, i don't feel bad because this is high school ball and the girls know what to expect, besides it happens to us alot, but the girls keep improving each year, we have won a conference game and 2 non-conference games this year, they could of just quit.
Good luck to all of the teams in the tournament..

    REVENGE IN SOFTBALL!!!!!HaHa
