Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
AC Reynolds makes no sense, in their last 4 games they have.....

gone on the road and won

    @ Alexander Central 80-57
    @ Freedom 74-60
    @ South Caldwell 49-33

However, they failed to win, AT HOME mind you against

    Watauga 55-59

Yet to top it all off, Watauga fails to beat Alexander Central EITHER time they play them this year! One crazy conference.........

Very strange! Where's the Watauga faithful to fill us in on what happened?

RR, I have to come to the game Friday to see if that is still a tough venue? McDowell played very well last night. I'll be impressed if they continue that in Fairview.

And at the halfway point, it looked like it was going to be McDowell and Freedom battling for the conference title.

Look at Freedom. Once they lost the first game against McDowell, they have completely fallen off the map.

Come on up should be interesting game this Friday.....Watauga didn't find it too difficult to play at ACR, but maybe that was just our young girls thinking they were better then they really were after beating Freedom on the road!

Actually patsfan85, at the half way point in conferance play Freedom had lost to McDowell and East Burke. Which put McDowell in first, East Burke in 2nd, and Freedom in 3rd.

Dan that is a ridiculous statement. When Ford outscored washinton last game...didn't see you proclaim her as leagues best.
The only thing for sure is that it's a 2 person issue ONLY in this Conference. I thought if FHS finished in top 2 or 3 spots we might be looking at co-players of the year and very well still may.
Jessica did an admirable job on Ford BUT not alone, McDowell did like everyone else and doubled her most of the night, I thought FHS was finding the open girl...just couldn't make the shots, and most of Wash points were point blank lay-ins
BTW- so now Washington has made 1 outside shot in 3 meetings- don't think that answers that question either.
Historically the best team's best player gets POY, so wouldn't doubt Washington will get it. And Mcd has shown they are the best team.
Last year ACR's girl wasn't the best player in Conf, but the team got her the award. JMO

    Kurie Washington- POY

I am not sure what the selection process for player of the year is in this conference, but if Kuie Washington is not the selection then the process should be changed. Ali Ford is a tremendous basketball player but she simply is not the selection for this award. If so, why is she allowing her team to lose games that they win.(McDowell not included) In addition, Washington does score alot around the basket. But, if that is so easy why don't all the players average twenty something game just shooting lay-ups. South Caldwell did a great job of keeping her out of the lane, she made five threes that night. That is a sign of an all around game.
