I hate to say this 'cause I'm a Ragsdale guy but SW Guilford is good. Better than their 8th place ranking from Impact, IMHO. SW has some experienced pitching. At Ragsdale we may have to score a bunch of runs. Fortunately our coaches teach some good defense and our pitching coaches are top notch. Still, we gotta hit it. Aycock should be as strong as predicted. Randleman could also win the State. They're strong at several positions and they play on the wierdest field in the state. All it needs is a windmill and a creek through it. Left field is a poor man's green monster. Strangest field I have ever seen.

I know we (Peidmont) played SW Guilford in the first round of the State last year and they were very good. We lost in 9 innings as both teams played well and it was a fun game to watch. I understand they have most of the team returning. We only lost three starters so if the pitching holds up and we stay injury free maybe we'll meet again.

IMHO - South Granville has the tools to really go dep in the 3A playoffs!

They have excellent pitching: Chris Luck, Pratt Maynard, Nash Blakely are all guys that have excellent stuff!

Jeff May is the best 08 catcher in the state that I have personally seen, and man can he hit.

They are excellent defensively all around the field! Jon Perry is an excellent infielder at 2B, In fact he and Luck are a very good DP combo. They are a hard working bunch of kids thay play the game the right way!!

They have excellent coaching in Kevin Ferrell and Kenny May, experienced baseball men that know how to manage the game and teach the little things the right way...

Dont be surprised at all to see them in the thick of it deep into the playoffs!!

    Congrats to Foard

I know it doesn't mean a whole lot right now, however I would like to congratulate a good Fred T. Foard team on their #1 3A Pre-season ranking!
