When is a loss really a win?

when FHS lost to reynolds in the play-in game last Friday!
they now get a HOME playoff game against a team they have beat twice, a very fortunate turn of events for the Patriots!
If they had won that game they would havwe been heading to Harding on Thursday.
....sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!

On paper I have to agree totally with you and I thought the same thing even prior to the play-in game as I discussed it with my brother about how ACR might be better off to lose against Freedom(although I never would say they should lose on purpose). However, don't count your chickens before those eggs hatch, you know basketball is a crazy sport and that ball can bounce some funny ways come playoff time especially when you are trying to beat a team for the third time. I hope ALL the NW4A teams continue their success this Thursday (even though one HAS to lose), and I wish the McDowell's boys success tonight as well.

Be careful what you wish for too. SC has already beaten Freedom on their home floor this year and I look for them to do it again Thursday. The last game with Freedom that SC lost Hobbs was still hurting and wasn't even supposed to play. I think it will be a good game either way.

    Just thoughts

Seems like no matter who freedom was to play they would get people complaining. IF they win over SC they will most likely play McDowell so yea they really have it easy don't they? Lets see, if ACR moves on they will have East Burke or Independence, which team would you rather face? First freedom gets to go to getto high , then has to play a team that knows them all too well, then IF they get past them they most likely have McDowell waiting. If only all the teams had it so easy!

Actually we were simply talking about the first two rounds, typically you will find that come the sectional finals there are not "easy" games.
