You are so right about that (it's a girl thing)! The older they get, the way they look, outweighs how safe they are! Hey as they get older they should have some imput as to the uniform. Girls sports in general, lose way too many girls to, teenage years/boy crazy/dating/other things to do, to be worring, as to whether they wear visors or sunglasses. Just feel lucky if you can get them to wear those face masks and mouth pieces, I know from experience that can cause a lot of heated disagreements between parents and DD! I wouldn't be shocked, to walk up to a ballfield, in the near future, and see a team with really short, shorts, with fastpitch across the butt, on!!! God I hope nobody lets things get that far gone!!! Peace, Love and Happiness

 

shorts..or long pants?? well shorts are made for basketball and visors, well, thats for golf!!

 

The shorts in basketball are longer than the ones in softball.

Seriously, I love the pinstripe long pants with the button up, and the sleeves, but I can do without the hat. That's a little much. I preferred the Butler look. No hats. Of course a hat or visor should be a personal option.

That being said, I think this uniform would look kind of silly in July and August in travel ball. Even if you wear long pants, you still need sliding pads/shorts and knee pads if you're going to slide a lot on hard ground.

I like both the spring and the summer outfit!

 

I think that the uniform includes the cap and thus ALL of the uniform is worn, no part of it is optional.

with long pants, do they wear knee pads on inside?
