    F-Pitch is correct, Christina had a significant wrist injury on her pitching hand. She is probably about still about a month away from a 100%. Wasn't sure two months ago if she would be playing this year.

    Speaking of Hopewell

    Speaking of Hopewell! What about that kid, Lacey, for Hopewell? I have seen her, she can really shoot it, she has great movement on her ball! I am pretty sure she is a senior, does anyone know if/where she will play college ball? Who will JM Robinson have on the mound this year? What about North Meck? Anyone know?

    Hannah Pennell, West Iredell HS, sophmore, suffered broken ankle as a freshman. So far, 3 scrimmages, 1 reg. season game. 0.00 era. She will be a pitcher to watch for the next 3 years.

    faith sutton, 2a or not, is hands down the best pitcher in this state. i say this with the upmost respect to the nc-west girls as well as the nc-east girls. we've all heard of the so called "she's throwing 65". pitchers. i don't care what a pitchers speed is as long as she is effective. seeing is believing. faith will be THE pitcher at unc for the next 4 years. please don't take this post as offensive. by the way, i'm not mrs. sutton good luck to all of the girls. play safe.

    beachmom....looks like the folks in western NC have tunnel vision. I've heard of Faith, but have never seen her pitch. Can't wait to see her in college...at UNC-Chapel Hill.

    And, by the way, the postings by both you and beachmom clearly refer to "UNC".....how can that possibly be mixed-up with South Carolina?
