    Tuesday night 3-6-07

    South Meck 7
    Hopewell 7

    9 innings

3 hours 10 minutes....umpires called it at approximately 7:40 PM

Deuce Wright (freshman catcher) is a beast behind the plate. Stops everything, has a great arm and a lively bat.

Woods, Hasty and Atz pitched for SM.

    Butler vs North Meck

    Butler - 8
    NM - 7

An excellent game to start the dawgs season. It took 9 innings for the dawgs to finally get the winning run across the plate. Mitchell Wells hit a sharp grounder thru the NM SS to score the winning run from 2nd in he bottom of the 9th.

Other key plays included a stabbing catch by Butler 3b Ryan Glass.

NM had numerous opportunites to move ahead in late innings but some strong defense by the bulldogs prevented NM from scoring.

Well played by both teams!! :congrats:

Only have 1 sophomore playing up this year and he started varsity last year as a freshman. The new freshman class may be the deepest we have ever had.
