    Oatis started and pitched well for Butler, Bollinger closed. All Butler batters had at least one hit. Crump - 3 run HR

    Thank you, my friend...but I can see why I missed the score. I believe it was a case of Alzheimer's....but great win for Butler. The Bulldogs are making strong noises down there off Independence Blvd. Good job!

    Scorebook Nightmare: NW Cabarrus 16 Robinson 13

    The wind was blowing out at Robinson HS this afternoon. NWC goes down 6-1 after 3 innings; ties it 9-9 in the 5th; takes an 12-10 lead in the 6th; loses the lead in the bottom of the 6th on a Tyler Ring HR to fall behind 13-12 and scores 3 in the 7th for the final margin of victory. Daniel Welch came on in 7th to cool off the scoring and seal the win. Hunter Pate gets the win on the mound.

    Here is what I remember:

    NWC:
    Hunter Pate     (5-5, 2 HR, (2)2B 5 RBI, 4 runs scored) (winning pitcher)

    9 Innings;

    Fairly sloppy game error's on both sides. Give props to West, came out sluggish. Zach Truesdale for East frustated West hitters early. Alex Robertson gave up a 3 spot early, but settled in nicely for West. West proved to be to much for the Eagles in the end.

    Great night for baseball.

    LSU was in the house, That's right Louisiana State University, you know the one with 5 National Titles.

    Also saw Coach Partin in the crowd, maybe that's who convinced LSU to make the 900 mile trip to North Carolina to see a prospect play? Just a thought.

    A couple of questionable calls by the home plate umpire made all the difference in the world. Great game though.
