    Saturday, March 17th

    Freedom High School will host the 1st annual Varsity Classic Invitational.

    9:00am---- South Caldwell vs Wilkes Central
    10:45am--- Weddington vs. Madison
    12:30pm--- East Gaston vs. West Wilkes
    2:15 pm----Watauga vs. Madison
    4:00pm---- Crest vs. West Wilkes
    5:45pm---- Freedom vs. East Gaston
    7:30pm---- Kings Mountain vs. Hopewell

    Another great day of softball at Freedom High School-

    Looks like decent weather for the weekend- not great, but decent. Hope for no rain!!

    SHould be a great day of softball. Bring a chair, t-shirts and Chic-Fil-A sandwiches for sale!

    See you Saturday- Make sure to get there to see the others play before KM & Hopewell-especially us!!

    definitely there by Freedom/EG game.....working for the younger ones causes delays! sounds like a great line-up and a great day of softball!

    Directions to Freedom Park @ Freedom High School

    Travel I-40 to Morganton. You can take several exits, but exit 100 is the easiest trip in.

    From Hickory take exit 100 and turn right at the end of the ramp.
    Follow Jamestown road- it will turn into Indepedence Blvd at KFC.
    Continue thru light at KFC/Taco Bell
    Go to second light past KFC you will pass Freedom High School on the right. Turn right into the bus entrance.

    Let me know if you need other directions from a different area.

    Bring a chair, we have some bleacher seating, the foul lines are not fenced in, so it makes for a good place to watch the game.
    The softball field will be on your left.

    Should be a strong day of pitching at Freedom on Saturday.

    Kings Mtn- Morgan Childers- WOW!
    Hopewell- Lacy Robinson and Alyssa Jarvis- very good arms
    East Gaston- Not sure- Primm? Heard she was very good
    Freedom- Ashley Hasson- a lot better now than her 1st outing this year
    Crest- not sure about pitching- always good though
    Watauga- Nicole Reilly- very good junior arm
    Weddington- Taylor Morris- very good - spohomore
    Madison- probably the best we haven't seen- Laurel Gregg
    Wilkes, West Wilkes- Not sure of
    South Caldwell- 2 good arms in Miller and Knepp

    SHould be a very good day- let us know of these kids if you know anything.

    Michelle Primm, East Gaston, outstanding movement, good hitter and several colleges are following her.

    Melissa Hunter, Crest, good LHP but dont think she wants to play college ball....Wants to serve Uncle Sam.

    Once the rain stops this evening, we have a field crew ready to get started work on the field. Other than the cold, we will be fine. Our field drains really well and was hard as a rock so it will soak up quick.

    If there is a problem I will post on here to let you know or you can call my cell phone 828-390-1437 to find out.

    got word that weddington beat madison 11-0 west wilkes was leading east gaston 2-0 early. will post more scores later!
