Madison has reached that platform that allows him to be bulletproof. The opinions of the people that count have been made, so anything that hints that Bumgardner is not one of the most celebrated HS baseball players in the country, does not matter. Having said that, I refuse to believe that anyone feels anything but pride for him. He's a terrific young man, humble and a team player.

South Caldwell needs to continue to focus one game at a time to reach their team goal and to ignore anything else that could create an obstacle.

As the saying goes, "Keep your eyes on the prize"

    braves.....

thanks for the reminder. it is so easy to get caught up in what one person does or doesn't do. they are a team and a very good team. I hope to see their hitting to continue to improve throughout the season. They have a powerhouse line-up and sure hit it good friday at watauga. shane clawson had a chance for the cycle w/ 1b, 2b, & a 3b. nice job guys

    South Caldwell

South is a very complete team. All you hear about most of the time is Madison, but there are some other possible future D1 players on that team like Severt, Chavis, Craig, Coffey, Messer, Poovey, Clawson, etc. It's not a one man team down there. They can all play. Don't get me wrong, hes an outstanding pitcher, but don't overlook the surrounding cast he has playing behind him. That team is loaded top to bottom.

According to Hal Bagwell, "The SW4A is the toughest conference in the state."
Top to bottom it would be hard to argue with that.
Looks like the SW4A is getting at least 5 playoff berths this year in the expanded format.
Anyone know how many berths the NW4A will get ?
Personally, I think the NW4A is stronger in the top four teams this year, but if you go to 5 or more, the scales tip to the SW4A.
