    TEAM 123 456 7 R H E
    NOR 000 000 0 0 4 0
    PER 001 000 x 1 4 0

    WP- Elliott Tolley (1-1), CG, 0 runs, 4 hits 7 K's 3 BB
    LP- Tyler Robinson , CG 1 run 4 hits 7 K's 0 BB

    Leading Hitters:
    NOR - Craig Farmer (1-3, 2B), Travis Horn (1-3), Andrew Peacock (1-1, 2 BB), Jack O'Rourke (1-3)
PER - Jeremy Peed (2-3, RBI), Craig Reid (1-3, run), Ricky Crabtree (1-3, 2B)

In the bottom of the 3rd Craig Reid bunted for a hit and advanced to 2B on an error. He later scored on an RBI hit by Jeremy Peed. Tolley pitched a heckuva game (7 innings 98 pitches) and Person played its best defense of the season to hang on for the win. Northern played reallywell also, it's a shame somebody had to lose.

    Records:
    PERSON 4-2 (1-0)
    NORTHERN 4-2 (1-1)

    Chase vs Burns

    Chase - 9
    Burns - 8

Chase gave up a 7-4 lead in the top of the seventh, but came back with two in the bottom to get the win. One of the greatest finishes I've ever seen in high school baseball.

Hinson started off the game with a shot up the middle for a single. Hinson stole second, and the second batter singled to drive Hinson in. Then Paepelow hit a bomb over left field to make it 3-0. For the rest of the game they were held to 2 hits I believe which were both by Henson. Tyler Moore pitched all 7 for Watauga and pitched great after the first three batters. In the bottom of the 7th, Watauga scrapped 2 runs and had runners on 1st and 3rd and Breitenstein lined out to center to end it. It was a great game for both sides, however. ACR improves to 4-0 in the conference and Watauga falls to 2-2 in the conference.

    St. Stephens 4 Fred T Foard 1

Patrick Johnson was dominant in a complete game effort. He scattered 5 hits, no walks, and 13 strike outs against the Tigers. Trent Rothlin was the hard luck loser striking out 8 in 6 innings work. Both pitchers were low 90s with, at times, devastating off speed pitches. A misplayed fly ball in the third or fourth inning by Foard allowed the go ahead runs.

This was a good win for St. Stephens as they position themselves as the team to beat in the CVAC.
