    Watauga 9
    West Forsyth 2

Will Dicus got the win for Watauga throwing 4 1/3 innings handing WF their first loss of the season. Watauga killed the ball and finally opened up after that 2 game losing streak.

Crest stays unbeaten on the year. Julian Ridings had 4 hits to lead the Chargers. Sterling Cole did the work on the mound as he went 5 striking out 7 for the win.

Crest goes to 8-0 overall and 3-0 in Big South play.

Not to get too picky, but...

In the decisive win over West Forsyth, Will Dicus went four innings (not 4 1/3). John Michael Reynolds did a nice job with three frames to close it out and get the save. Reynolds is returning from getting hit in the face in practice and did a nice job for not having pitched in awhile. What Dicus is battling has been well-documented here, and having him on the mound definitely inspired his defense, which was really spectacular behind him. Congrats to him and Watauga. It's especially impressive to beat West considering Watauga had already had 3 conference games earlier in the week, losing two of them in extra innings by one run. They really bounced back today against a very good West team.

Mt. Tabor beat North Forsyth in 7. Garret Hickman and Collin Macintosh pitched. They play West Forsyth in the semis and it should be a good game.
