Davie had solid play from Kinard who hit a homerun, Merrifield went 3-4 and had a remarkable 5 stolen bases, also Boyd and Oswell chipped in with a couple hits. But the real story may be a reagravaited hamstring. Brandson Steward came up gimpy on a stolen base and did not re-enter. Any word on his condition?

Mustangs rally for two in the bottom of the seventh and win it on Chris Overman's two out, two run double of the left field fence.

Nice job by both starting pitchers

    Nate Cudney - WP 11Ks
    Trey Moody - ND 8Ks

    Records: MP 5-5, 2-3 SW4A; SM 5-6, 2-3 SW4A

    Game file attached.

    South Meck 2

Myers Park scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with 2 outs: with runners on 1st and 3rd, Chris Overman hit a line shot that climbed over the left fielders head for the game winning 2 RBI double. Dean Boyle was running from 1st base on the pitch and just kept running all the way around third and slid home with the winning run.

Trey Moody pitched 6 strong innings for South Meck.

(Sorry for the double post - I must have been typing at the same time and it took me a bit longer....)

The Cudney kid has some good stuff esp. since he is from the left side...I coached a team 2 summers ago that defeated him in the 15-16 State Championship.....glad to see he is throwing well

    Butler / Providence

    Butler 6 - Providence 4
Andrew Smith pitches a complete game gem for Butler. Butler batters did whatever was necessary to plate runs. This included three hit batsmen, a walk, and Mickey Brewer's two out double all in the 5th inning. Drew Gehringer's two out, 2 RBI single put Butler in the lead for good. Gehringer hit the ball hard all three ABs and went 2/3. Both teams played well and it was an exciting game to watch.
