    thanks kid. :D

oh...and Braves...I still haven't gotten a reply. Was my 5 minute speedy quick response good enough to get me closer to that Pro-Preferred?????
    ha :D

    but ya...on a serious note.
It's like this in my mind.
A team doesn't have to face one of the best pitchers in the state, arguably the nation.
A load and a relief in a sense no doubt..
But a team like SC has a bunch of kids like...Gragg (sp?), Brown, Poovey (comin back from elbow injury) and Messer...who could all make you look absolutely stupid. It's simple to think that you have a better chance at a team when their ace is pitching...believe me, we've been there. But you can't let the task at hand stray too far from you. Alexander WILL be facing a very good pitcher..followed, if needed, by more great pitchers that are chompin at the bit to get some time on the mound..there aren't many shortcomings in the staff that South Caldwell has right now. Same with their hitting. Justin James or whoever Coach Comer decides to pitch on Friday, is going to have a very experienced and consistent hitting ball club on their hands. 007 left a post in the AC vs. South Thread about their hitting stats...and the team era.. and from a recent stat, South has outscored its opponents on the year now by 100 runs. Again a very mediocre number in itself. ;)

so.. whatever your mindset is going into the game for both teams...you'll have a dog fight early.. but South can chip away in a big way at any time. they don't have too many holes..

good luck to both teams though.

Believe it or not PP, I have a brand new black Pro Preferred with it's tag still on it sitting up in my room, but I need to go hide it because Braves Jr caught wind that I have one...and knowing him, he will be sniffing it out soon.

True story...and here's the kicker. It's not like I needed a glove, but this guy offered it for $30, so what could I do! plus, he had DVD's, TV's and Rolux watches (yes, Rolux), too.

    South Caldwell - 6
    Alexander Central - 0
    WP - Messer
    LP - James

South goes to 12-0 on the year and completes its first trip through the conference undefeated. In the last 6 games South has outscored its opposition 69 - 1. South is 6-0 in the NW4A conference scoring 44 runs and giving up 5.

Alexander was a tough opponent and Justin James pitched a good game. South did strand like 14 runners on base so it wasn't the best game they have played offensively but give James credit. Messer pitched a great game and I believe gave up 5 hits. Messer has a wicked curve ball for those who haven't seen him.
