Haley is a very good pitcher and I don't think by using him Reynolds was giving in at all. The shortstop for Reynolds is an amazing hitter. I heard several people comment on how fast his hand were. Hard to get him out with fastballs

As an fyi the new Baseball America Poll is due out this coming Monday afternoon, April 2nd. It is released every 2 weeks on Mondays. I looked up the results of the 2 teams ranked ahead of South Caldwell who are Brophy Prep in Phoenix, Arizona and Seton Hall Prep. I did see where Brophy Prep lost 1 game the day after the last poll was released on March 19th. Seton Hall Prep has yet to play a game believe it or not. Their first game is April 4th and they play alot of games in close succession thereafter. So I'm guessing that South will be ranked 2nd worse case and possibly 1st since they have already played 12 games to 0 games for Seton Hall Prep.

    Simple

It's really pretty simple folks. Ian Haley pitches on Tuesdays and Sam Runion pitches on Fridays for the Rockets. Last week Haley was leading all of WNC with an 0.78 ERA, K/IP 1.44 with 39K in 27 innings. 4-0. Why not throw him? The kid just doesn't have the ink some players have. He also played basketball for ACR. Several smaller D1's are looking at him. I believe if he'd had more exposure he'd be a serious D1 player. When he doesn't pitch, he catches. Several times this season Ian has caught 7 one night and pitched 7 the next. At SC he went in to catch after he was pulled from the mound. How many good pitches can do that? Good kid, too. Seriously, no hidden meaning. Just the way ACR's rotation fell.

Hinson is a tremendous athlete. He's taken numerous BB's this season. Several coaches think thats the way to get the W against ACR, even if 30 scouts are at a game. I truly believe that HS coaches play each game to win regardless of who's in the stands. ACR graduated 8 starters from last year, but they're still holding on the #2 in NW4A which says a great deal about this years team. Madison is amazing, but the rest of SC is pretty darn good too. Is it Tues. or Fri. when SC comes to Reynolds?

Yea it does say a great deal, it says they are playing for #2, not #1.
    Dodge SC, win the rest.

If anyone on here thinks that AC had a better chance with haley then runion then you are simply crazy... yes haley does have good stuff i dont take anything away from him... but i got to say so does runion... its as simple as this haley pitches and AC gets waxed 10-0... hows that era looking now... when was the last time runion got beat 10-0... as for the comment on South being a fastball hitting team... so maybe ac was trying to surprise them... most teams are fastball hitting teams... for some reason they still have trouble with bumgardner? its as simple as the matchup should have been Runion vs Bumgardner... if you dont believe me... take a gander at the final score...
