    South Caldwell 12-0 (6-0)
    AC Reynolds 8-4 (5-1)
    Alexander Central 7-5 (4-2)
    Watauga 5-7 (3-3)
    East Burke 3-6 (1-5)
    McDowell 3-10 (1-5)
    Freedom 2-10 (1-5)

After the first time around in the conference, South Caldwell goes undefeated and amasses a #3 ranking by Baseball America. They could possibly move to #1 or #2 by the end of today. AC Reynolds and South Caldwell's meeting ended quicker than many thought... Alexander and Watauga remain in the middle of the pack, while EB, McD, and Freedom round out the lower half of the conference standings.

1st Time Through..any thoughts on players, teams and games.

    Leave scores here.

    Games this week:

    East Burke (1-5) @ AC Reynolds (5-1)
    Watauga (3-3) @ South Caldwell (6-0)
    Alexander Central (4-2) @ McDowell (1-5)

    woohoo! NW4A..:bucktooth:

Will it be Bumgarner on Tuesday against Watauga? I would assume so but seeing how he pitched against them last time around I wonder if they'll switch things up. Also, SC will have one of their toughest game so far this year when they tee it up with East Rutherford at their Easter Tournament. ER has a hard hitting team and it will be interesting to see how they handle Madison.

I think everything will stay status quo second half.

South will run everyone over. ACR will lose to South and thats it. Watauga and Alexander will come down to senior night in Boone (toss up). Everyone else will continue to struggle.

It's going to be interesting to see the pitching rotation for South Caldwell over the next 2 weeks. Jimmy Messer pitched 7 innings on Friday night against Alexander Central so I would imagine that Madison pitches tomorrow night. Watauga did hit Madison pretty hard last game compared to most teams.

Justin Poovey will learn about his MRI results tomorrow so I hope he gets good news. Zack Brown has pitched really well for the Spartans this year and we sure needed him to step up big in Poovey's absense.

I think Messer will pitch on Thurs against East Burke. This coming Monday I would think Zack Brown goes against Kings Mountain in game 1 of the Shelby Easter Tournament. Assuming South wins against KM game 2 will be on Wed night against the winner of East Lincoln and Shelby. If Poovey could pitch then we could tag team East Rutherford with a combination of Madison and Messer. Remember Messer pitched a 1 hitter last year in defeating at the time undefeated and 30-0 North Forsyth so he can be just as effective as Madison with a different pitching style.

Well Watauga had a fiery, intense practice yesterday.. and they are very motivated. They're gonna come in a scrap...you can't ever hold that factor against Watauga..they'll always battle and give you a fight.

    GOOD LUCK PIONEERS!! :alucard:

And whspioneers a.k.a. Mr. Stats...you need to be more supportive and motivated for the team you watch over. Your confidence is dull and uninteresting. It's actually downright rude..

    ...thanks for the error too.

East will have to defeat a 1st Place 4A team in Crest and Charlotte Christian before they would get a shot at South Caldwell. You cannot just say "ER vs SC" championship, games have to be won on the field first.
