Report on Jackson and Wesleyan Christian

    Braves,

Do you know anything about these two schools. I will make some of these Jack Sink games. Logan has been collecting the T-Shirts for 3 or 4 years now. They give him a shirt for chasing foul balls.

How are these two schools? Andrew L Jackson and Wesleyan Christian. I want to pick my games carefully. I'd like to see Providence and Kell play PD.

Wesleyan Christian has always had a good program. It seemed as if they played Charlotte Christian for a few years for the State title. They have one player (can't remember his name) that is highly recommended by area scouts.
They have placed a number of D1 recruits.

I don't know anything about Jackson.

I'm going to catch Tuesday's games, but I will miss the rest of them. Tell Logan that Montana was asking about him. You are raising a very nice young man...you should be proud!

    role models

I keep reminding him of the role models he should be emulating. He's been around TJ and Ryan and Snell and others enough to understand what is required.

I'm posting this in here, also

It's funny. I went to the Jack Sink tournament this morning to watch AK play Harding. I was THE only person sitting on the Harding side. They were getting creamed (11-1) after the 1st inning and the players were struggling.

I decided what they heck, I would become the one man cheering section. Yelling encouragement, calling the players by their names, talking to the pitcher...man, they must have thought (who is that white dude acting crazy), but something funny happened. The pitcher started throwing strikes, the players started hitting the ball and they seemed to be having fun again! Obviously, I had nothing to do with that, but I bet it was fun for them to have someone cheering for them.

Yes, Coach Bagwell showed a lot of class by calling off the dogs after the 1st inning, but AK was still competing and Harding was giving a 100% effort.

..and that's why I became their one man cheerleader. They knew they didn't have a chance, but they didn't point fingers, throw helmets or hang heads...they still competed and never quit. There is something to be said about a team like this. In fact, I may go to another Harding game, but you can be sure of one thing....I'm not bringing a chair, but I will bring a megaphone to make my one man traveling cheerleader section sound like......2 men.

PS- there is a player on Harding (I'll get his name later) that is the real deal. He has a pro body with a pretty good bat (hit a HR). This kid is very raw baseball-wise, but man, if he had youth training, this kid could be in the Cameron Maybin neighborhood...he has that much potential.
