    IT WAS A HIT

    In the central game the bunt was hit so hard the charging players had no play on the ball it rolled all the way out to shortstop.It was a hit for sure its doesn't matter if she was attemping a sac.bunt or not.

    WP - Laura Hopper

    Hopper struck out 11 through 5 innings, was relieved by Leslie Brooks who got the save. Sally Harrill, Lindsay Harrison, and Amber Shires had 2 hits, Ali Ruppe and Sarah Thomas 1 each for East. Hopper had an RBI Sac. fly.

    Brandi Cook and Amber Bennett had 2 hits for Burns.

    It was scored a hit, there was definately a little luck involved in it for sure though as she wasnt bunting for a hit. I think what i meant to say was it looks the same as a hard single in the scorebook instead of a bunt that was pushed past someone

    It is called a push bunt. CC's third baseman played it to close to the plate and it got by her, just as intended. Please give credit were credit is due.
    Congrats to EG for playing a good game against a super strong team. A
    few surprises for CC by EG's defense. I am still impressed by Central's team. One of the most "professional" ball clubs I have seen. They have surely earned their national ranking.

    Ok, no big deal!, I wasn't trying to take credit away from anyone just explain how she got on base. I know what a push bunt is and if thats what is was then it was a great job! Sorry i couldn't really tell how hard it was i just thought it was a sacrafice bunt. East Gaston has a very scrappy team and a good pitcher as well. Good luck to them the rest of the year.
