    I'm sure you are!!!! As long as she is the coach you won't have to worry about SC beating you. lol

    After a couple weeks of play what does everyone think. I know I've changed my picks.

    Alexander is still my number 1
    Mcdowell is 2 for me but Freedom is a very close 3
    Watagua and Reynolds are now a tossup for me. Reynolds has been beaten up and must be down a lot this year or just off to a bad start
    East Burke has had a couple key players quit the team one being their pitcher and that has to hurt them but I still think they finish ahead of South Caldwell. SC has yet to score on a team that has decent pitching so look for them to struggle with everyone except maybe East Burke

    sounds like players need Hitting instructors outside the hs level stuff. dont blame that on coach.....be a part of the solution. get those girls who are truely interested in getting better some Help. just my opinion.

    Watauga at Kingsport Eastman Invitational Tournament

    Pool Play
    Game 1
    Watauga 7
    Tennessee High 4

    Game 2
    Watauga 0
    Hendersonville, Tn 9

    Hendersonville is loaded. They are 32-6 (how's that for a difference in state rules) and their only losses are to top teams in big tournaments. Hendersonville and South Florence, SC were the coaches two favorites to advance to the championship. South Florence was rolling over everyone in their pool this weekend.

    Game 3
    Watauga 7
    Castlewood, Va 6

    Nicole Reilly hit a walkoff home run in the bottom of the 6th to win. Time had expired on the game.

    Game 4 with Morristown East was rained out with Watauga trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the first. Watauga had runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out when lightning forced the teams off the field and the rain soon followed.

    It was a good tournament for Watauga and it's ashame once again that NC rules won't allow teams to advance due to game limitations. Watauga was tied for 2nd in the pool with the winner of game 4 advancing to the tournament. Like I said, Hendersonville had participated in 4 tournaments and has another one next weekend. 38 games with two weeks to go until their playoffs begin.

    Thats great to hear about WHS. Too bad we cannot advance. Hopefully it will spring board into the stretch run of the league and hopefully the state playoffs.
