Haithcox hit her 4th homerun that looked to be about 10' farther than the 222' marked on the center field fence and Hayes hit one about 5' short of the 222' , if it had went over that would have made 9 current members on the team that have gone yard this year or last

I saw her first homerun ever at Myrtle Beach during the Summer of 2005, you should have seen the OLE Man ( Robert ) he was fit to be tied...you go "#5" !!!

You Get What You See !!!

Yea Robert is alright, he is some character, and so is Pam, that lady can boogie on the dance floor-LOL--that's as much as I will say on that subject. Robert is a good ole country boy trying to make ends meet supporting his daughter and her dreams, his side-kick Bobby is alright too...GREAT FAMILIES !!!

Great game tonite at Central! Lauren Harris is a very good pitcher and should take that team a long way. Great clutch pitching with people on base by Morgan Peeler getting out of several jams, Also some great defensive plays at 1B by Whitney Blackwelder and 2B Pam Wade.

    Central Cabarrus 2
    Forbush 0

    WP-Morgan Peeler 7IP 4H 3BB 14K's
    HR-Peeler (4), Blackwelder 2b, Covington rbi 2b, Furr, Wade-singles

Congrats! Myers was awesome against Broughton. Tourney director called, was very impressed with her stuff. He asked me if I was at the game, and I was. What a tough 9th grader! The only 2 hits that she gave up were to Landon Warren, a junior. I passed Myers name to the right channel. She's a pleasure to see pitch.

Thank you for the comments. The kid has worked hard. Especially impressive considering the team pitching coach was only there Sat. so Victoria and Morgan combined called the last two games themselves. Pretty good out of a Soph. catcher that before this year had only caught sparingly and a Freshman pitcher. Both by the way are members of the Carolina Cardinals 16U team. And again thank all of you down east for the hospitality. Awesome facilities.

Yuo're doggone right about the facilities. The folks in charge of the fields, AD Guy Blough and Co., did a superb job. Cardinals 16u? No disrespect to any other players at Parland mind you, but Myers needs to play 18u now. I can tell you this. There are more than 3 teams, dominate teams in the 18u level, that are made up of kids who all are eligible to play 16u. Dominators Gold, Cape Fear Storm, NC Lady Lightning. I'll bet theres more. Point is my friend, showcase ball is all about being in the right tournaments AND on the right field. The A+ teams field. 16u is a development league. If the players goal is to play in college, put her in the best position to be seen. Also, don't forget how important it is to email the college coaches. Good luck.
