hey dogjaw, remember my post "east hitters"? in it i saw numerous posts by whoever both congrats. to the players and unfortunately the "how far is the fence?" crap. 250 ft. bombs i believe was the subject. i love this TBR forum, i love to read about the girls and thier teams. i just thought it was the right time to say, nothing personal by the way, who measured the fence? her dad? ....aw come on folks, you know i'm kidding! great job miss H.! i'm equally impressed to have read that she is a freshman. what TB team? also i read CC vs. Forbush close game, don't leave us hanging down east on cool info. play safe.

the 222' is marked on the fence about where it went out and the NM coach said it was only the second one to go over in the 5 years he's been there . also BY hit one out at SWR 2 years ago when our fence was 235' and it was the only ball ever hit out in a game since fast pitch came to our school in the 90's .Hayes is the freshman and she and Haithcox now play for the knockouts but hayes was with lady blues and we have 6 on the Randolph Rage , 3 from the Lady Blues , 2 Knockouts , 1 Cardinals and a couple more that bounce from team to team so much I cant keep up . Haithcox is a senior and has signed with Mars Hill and of our 6 seniors only she and BY(Charleston Southern) have signed.
Some great talent here and it is sometimes confusing as to the college recruiting process , such as we played a team this year that has a starting pitcher going to Appalachian St. and we beat them 9-0 and 3-0 and one of our pitchers who wants to go there , has great grades and has never lost a game on the hill at states, playoffs or regular season , cant even get them to look at her and we played another team that has there pitcher ,catcher and first base signed with Pfifer and 2 others signed to other colleges(these kids are very good but so are ours) , we beat them 1-0 and 12-1 and Pfifer is not interested in our seniors either ,three colleges have came to other games but they were watching our opponents players(not pitchers)whom we dismantled in other games alot to nothing ,and our seniors made spectacular defensive plays and killed the ball and still they dont talk to our kids . These same six seniors took our team to the final four as freshman in 04 , a 21-1 record in 05 , final four again in 06 and undefeated so far this year so there names should be known if any colleges pay the least amount of attention to HS ball.

Southern finally has all there players back from injury's. Next weekend at North Moore's Sat Games Southern plays Forbush and then SW Randolph. Should be a very good day for softball.

 

Thats amazing that the college coaches wouldnt want that type of talent, because there is loads of it there.

Marlinfan, actually she is still eligible for 14U so she is playing up and has been for a while now. She is in a good place right now. She's happy, we're happy, great organazation, and the heirarchy is making sure she is facing the top competion that she can. Thank you for your compliments and encouragement again. Any and all advice is welcome. And remember everyone. These girls like seeing their names "in lights" so they read this stuff. Keep negative stuff at home but GOOD comments are all welcome. I know they make my DDs feel good. They like to know that someone besides dear ole dad is watching lol.

Leave the Cardinal out of it. She could have verballed last summer as a sophomore and has had many, many contacts in the last year. I expect she will give in and commit by Sept. at the latest. She'll be just fine.

BTW, the 9-0 and 3-0 scores pitcher isn't going to App. St.; it's LRC, and she's not going as a pitcher. She's going as a utility player (read big bat here).

talking about seniors only not being signed as we have very talented underclassmen that should surely will be drawing d1,d2 interest, senior ss has one d3 talking to her and with her skills should have at least strong d2's looking ,1st has a few colleges talking but should have the d1's all over her . the 9-0 3-0 was regular season and scrimmage vs NWG and she is going to App as invited walk on .
