Lauren Donald, tournament MVP.....pitched well and had the tying RBI and scored the winning run! quality pick too Coach.

Outstanding tournament and thanks Gabe for all the hard work, your time and effort you contiuiously put into both HS Softball and TB!!

Emily Self, So, Cherryville is steady improving and a workhorse. Hits pretty good too!! This kid could be very well be the best pitcher to ever come out of Gaston County and maybe even WNC when its all said and done.

Cherryville (1A) could and have potential to be a favorite in the playoffs.

    South Caldwell Easter Tourney

    Thursday's Results

South defeated Bunker Hill two times

    Freedom----4
    W. Lincoln--1

    Freedom---10
    W. Lincoln--3

Freedom 4-0 in the tourney wins the championship- outscored opponents 34-9 in the 4 games. Sophomore Brooke Ellis named the MVP. AShley Hasson pitched all 4 games for Freedom.

West Lincoln is a very good ball club, good young pitcher. Good luck the rest of the year.

Yes, both games as did my kid. Looked like she got a little tired and that caused her to walk a few, missed a few spots and we hit it hard. But she is very good and will only get better. Works very fast.

Great job girls and coaches... Freedom had some good bats in the second game against a good pitcher... Good choice for Brooks Ellis as MVP, she had some good at bats. Way to go Ashley Hasson on the pitching job (4-games) and Jessica Mckee made some great plays too. It speaks loud about how good you really are girls on the point spread. 15-2 over all KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! looking forward to the last half of the season.
