Lets get this board fired up for Football. I am excited about NW4A football for next season. As the countdown on the WHS football website says 3 months 14 days till the first practice and as the countdown on the ACR site says 4 month and 9 days till opening kickoff.

The at the combine yesterday Darius Spencer (RB ACR) ran a 4.2 forty. CJ Davis (RB ACR) ran a 4.25. Eric Breitenstein (RB WHS) ran a 4.49 with a pulled hamstring. With Terrence Kincaid this will be a running back dominated league.

    1. ACR (Tie)
    1. Watauga (Tie) (whoever wins the WHS vs ACR game in Boone will win the league)
    3. Freedom
    4. Alexander
    5. McDowell
    6. South Caldwell
    7. East Burke

COY- Toss up, give it to the winner of the ACR vs WHS game at the end.
POY- Toss up, give it to either Eric Breitenstein or Darius Spencer (whichever leads their team to a league title)

    Your thoughts?

    1. ACR
    2. Freedom
    3. ACHS
    4. South Caldwell
    5. Watauga
    6. Mcdowell
    7. East Burke

How much bigger and faster did the running back at Watauga get in 4 months? To beat ACR it better be alot!!!

We were big, fast and strong enough in the state playoffs.

Hes actually shaved about a second off his 40 time and gained about 20 or 30 pounds... If you think Watauga is going to be 5th this year with all of the returning starters they have from their final four team last year... then your in for a big surprise. Watauga has transfers this year and also returning position players. Kept both of their qb's that they use, all their wide receivers, of course their running back and had a bunch transfer for their line. Look for another big season for watauga.

COY - Id look for it to be Coach Snow again.
POY - Could be Kincaid, could be CJ Davis, I would expect that it will be Eric Breteinstein considering he does so much more then just run for his team also being the best defender and receiver sometimes also lodging time at qb.

Should be somewhat of a rebuilding year for the Cougars, but by conference time they should be playing pretty good ball. Will be well coached and play some good non conference teams.
Sounds like Watauga will be mighty good, maybe better than I think. We'll see!
I don't see anybody in our conference that will be able to play with ACR this year..

People said that last year too.

Watauga will be just fine and dandy. I invite everyone on this board to make a WHS game in Boone this year. Its like App football. Its an experence you need to have. The atmosphere and spirit is incredible.

    Wait a Minute

Baseballislife10...Are you telling me Breitenstein has shaved a second in the 40, and gained 30 lbs. That means he ran a 5.49 40 and weighed 180 lbs. in November. I watched him play, and I don't believe that for a second.

He runs a 4.49. That was clocked at the combine. I don't know how much he weighs though.

Although you can see that he is hard to bring down.

Got to give ACR a little respect neither team JV or Varsity were beaten in conference play. I expect alot of the same. Hope I'm wrong. Would like to see a competitive conference this year.
    Dont over look Freedom!!

    That's what I'm saying

baseballislife said he shaved a second and gained 20-30 lbs. since football season. I know he ran a 4.49 at the combine, he also weighed in at 209, I was there. All I'm saying is he hasn't gotten a second faster and 25 lbs. heavier since football season ended.

Also, how will opening the new school affect Freedoms football team, if at all?
