    Butler vs. AK 4/13

Butler defeated Ardrey Kell 8 - 3. Ashton Ward was winning pitcher, and Kalie Lang took the loss. AK committed 6 errors. For AK, Kalie Lang hit a 3 run home run off Ashton Ward in the bottom of sixth.

    Hope this helps.

Providence scores & update (S. Meck & Weddington)

    Thursday:
    Weddington 8 @ PHS 0

    Friday:
PHS vs S. Meck continues: PHS got one in the top of the 16th inning and S. Meck came right back and got one in the bottom of the inning to go to the 17th inning. PHS got another run and held S. Meck for the win in a 17 inning finale.

    Also Friday:
    S. Meck 0 @ PHS 10 in 6 innings

    Saturday:
    PHS 1 @ Weddington 6

Played three out of the four games pretty well. The 6-1 score at Weddington on Sat. does not really tell the story of the game; the ladies played better then Thursday evening in this one. Thursday night experienced two more injuries (yikes, is this ever going to end???). Our third baseman broke her hand on a HBP. Cenetrfielder injured while slapping with a HBP. Third baseman is more than likely out for the year, in a pretty big cast. This makes serious injury number seven for the Panthers, but they keep hanging in there. The more I think about these kids I realize that I am learning a lot about them and a lot from them...I hope they learn as much from us!!!

PHS JV tied Weddington on Thursday, beat S. Meck on Friday and beat Weddington on Saturday!!! Way to go girls; very proud of you! :20_3_5:

    PHS record is 10-4
    Conference is 6-3

    Remaining Conference games are:
    4/17 Independence
    4/20 @ East Meck
    4/24 @ Ardrey Kell
    4/27 Butler
    5/1 Myers Park

Rough game behind the plate by the "BIG" guy in blue there was no outside corner on the plate at all!! Made the pitchers throw the ball down the middle of the plate.

Anyone have a North Meck/Hopewell score?

    Kristi Woodall hit a homerun!

It was very thoughtful of the Titans to express their sorrow for Virginia Tech by wearing a black VT on their cheek.
