roc0720,,,,,,, I agree with you that Stanly County is my favorite to win the Area 3 Southern Division this year, followed closely by Lexington and Rowan County. Rowan may have lost a lot, but they simply reload. Concord should be good too. South Rowan, Mooresville and Mocksville,,,,,, still don't know enough about whether to take them off my bubble and put them in "contender" category just yet. But your right about us, we have some holes to fill this year, the good part is we do have the nucleus of what could turn out to be a very good ballclub if boys perform, with quite a few players coming back who got significant playing time last year. Hopefully we will surprise some folks. Good luck to yours and good to hear from you again.

I'll be shocked if Madison plays Legion ball; not because he wouldn't want to, but he couldn't give a season's commitment with negotiations going on.

Also if he signs with a big league club they will want him in a development league imediatelly. I would love to see him play legion this year but with the amount of money he will be looking at I don't see it happening

Poovey is planning on pitching some games for Legion if all goes well with his surgery and rehabilitation.

    That Would Be Great!

I really hope all goes well with the surgery and the rehab, but not for what it could mean for Post 29 or even Clemson, but for your future. I'll be pulling for you. God speed!

I'll second that!! I sure do miss seeing Poovey on the mound but I care more about hearing him doing well in the future at Clemson.

Any Kinston folk around here? I'd like to hear what they have coming in legion ball. North Lenoir has won the 2A a couple years in a row, and I believe South Lenoir is very tough down there this year. Kinston High always has a few studs as well.

This year has the potential to be a semi-down year for Lexington. There are several question marks on who will play and who will not. Andrew Hunt is eligible after his freshman year at LR, but is playing in a wooden bat league I believe. Zack Briggs is debating between Legion and Showcase ball. Josh Bush is not playing in order to get for football @ Wake next year. Zack Roach is eligible to return from Pfeiffer but is a question mark. Zach White is playing for the Dirtbags and is not sure if he wants to pull double-duty with Legion. Take into account that these are all just rumors I've heard. Some may be true and others may not. If Lexington had all of there eligible players they could be very good, but there are question marks. I know this much though - Coach Griffin will get as much as he can out of the nine he sends out every night and they'll play hard. Just my 2 cents.

Stretchlon knows everything that goes on in Kinston and probably anywhere else in the east. I wouldn't be surprised if he knew about the Legion team.
