Girl on third no outs hard hit ball to shortstop who is playing in and is probablly Fredoms best defensive playerwiht a strong arm and you yell to the player on third go go go she is thrown out by a mile. In a close game like this that is a huge mistake. NCTIGER must have been the only one from SC there who missed that. Everyone else was pissed. That makes about 10 times this year something like that has really hurt us

Lewis (#18) and the freshmen (#13) combined tossed a three-hitter for East Burke.

Bigdan, that was a great game .What did you think of the little freshman East Burke pitcher#13. Also did you hear about what happened in the jv game that followed. I here the McDowell catcher was injured and had to be carried off the field by the EMS.

I thought the freshmen pitcher for East Burke did a very good job closing the game. She's good at keeping the ball low which also makes the rising pitches that much more effective.

As far as a McDowell JV player being hurt, that's definitely news to me. I was up at the baseball field doing coverage and there was nothing said up there about anybody getting hurt.

The catcher from the JV game laied out for a foul ball and put here face in to the back stop right where the drinking fountain is, she blacked out but was able to walk with help to the bench, when the paramedices got there she then was carried off to the ambulance. The fence cought her around the right eye.

    #10 Freedom ((17-3)(8-1) @ #6 Alexander Central (16-0) (9-0)

@ Alexander 7:00pm for first place

    Watauga @ East Burke

    South Caldwell @ McDowell

Huge game for every team today, some trying to move up in the standings and some making a push for the playoffs. Good luck to all!
