Middle School Scores

Ok, EBMS has played Liberty twice and beaten them twice. We played East McDowell yesterday and beat them 7-6 but will face them again Monday @ EBMS. The last game for EB will be finishing the game with Heritage that left off the other week....bottom of the 4th, EB-9 Her.-1, EB at bat with two on base and no outs.
So in answer to your question, if West M. beats East M then yes that puts them one game behind us and if EB looses Mondays game and wins the incomplete game against Heritage it would put us in a first place conference tie with the tommorows winner. How confusing is that.

Last note, EBMS beat Table Rock this afternoon 16-1 in 5 innings. EB girls played a great game and Dakota looked good on the mound. EBMS is now 9 and 1

East Burke Middle-11 ....East McDowell-10

Gut wrenching, heart pounding, drop dead softball was played today at EBMS when the Lady Raiders faced off with EM Trojans for the second time. EBMS started things off in the first inning scoring three runs and giving none. The second inning made a turn and the Trojans scored one run. In the third, Trojans held the L. Raiders and scored 3 more runs bringing it to 4-3. The Trojans got Kayla's timing down and began hitting good and EB had some major errors that allowed runs to score. Coach Goodman made a pitching change in the fifth inning when the score was 10-3 in favor of East McDowell. Dakota held them off. During the sixth inning, the Lady raiders rallied to score 4 more runs to bring the score to 10-7. Dakota held EM off in the top of the 7th and the Raiders came back to bat. Jackie got the first hit but was thrown out at first. Second batter struck out and Alicia (biscuit) got them going with a hard hit to center field. Taylor then came to bat hitting again to center. Kayla was next up, slamming a hard hit ball up the middle to bring both runners in and stopping at second. Dannie hit next, the ball was overthrown to home and Kayla stole home to tie the game. With Danie on third, Amber G. hit hard, scoring Danie and winning the game 11-10 (with two outs). It just doesn't get any more exciting!!!

EBMS will finish the game with Heritage that was stopped due to rain with the score of 8-1 (EB) in the bottom of the 4th with 2 on base. If the Lady Raiders defeat Heritage then they will finish the season as conference champs.

Congrats Kayla, Dakota, and the rest of EB! Congrats also to Jacobs Fork on defeating Newton-Conover middle again today. Sting girls( Savanna and Kendall) played well for JF. **Kendall threw out a runner before she got 1/2 way to 2nd....LOL!*** Chelsea stayed hot hitting the ball for NC.

EBMS Lady Raiders win conference.

EBMS finished the game today against Heritage. Final score...EB-11...Heritage-1. Kayla had a 12 strikeout game total . They finished the season 11-1 to win the conference championship. Tournament begins next week. Congradulations to all and lets go for the tourny!!

 

Newton-Conover lost to Riverbend yesterday. Finally school ball is over and now we can focus on tb!
