    Begins on Monday

    #5 AC Reynolds @ #4 Watauga @ 6:30


    #6 East Burke @ #3 McDowell @ 4:30
    #7 South Caldwell @ #2 Freedom @ 6:30
    These two games will be played at Freedom- McDowell's field is under construction for lights.


    Round 2 and 3 is at Alexander Central -- Tuesday and Thursday

    Exciting times in Boone concerning softball. First ever state playoff appearence coming up. Hopefully we can get the Rockets today in Boone. Too bad I have to miss it. I will be with baseball in Granite Falls.

    Taryn Brown pitched probably six of the best innings that she has tossed all year for McDowell...

    Well our season is over. It has been a disaster to say the least. I know from talking to you that most of you girls are really dishartened with softball right
    now but shake it off and forget it. Get on with a travelball team right away and see that softball can be fun again. For the senoirs I feel real bad for you to have it all end with a season like this I know it wasn't what you envisioned when you came to SC but remember the previous years you had when times were better. Good luck to you all and for the returning girls I really believe that the right changes will now be made and a brighter future lies ahead. At least don't give up on school ball right now.

    Good job Lady Pats. Looks like South hung in there, though.

    Softball bleeds Red & White for ladiesfan (for all you basketball people). Seriously, nothing like a Freedom/McDowell matchup in any sport! Play hard ladies!!!:hurray:

    SC came to play tonite... the Freedom team that played tonite was not the Freedom team we all know... but they got the job done, and now maybe it is out of their system . Looking for a good game tomorrow night against a good McDowell team. *21-4* way to go girls!!!!!
