congrats to the bulldogs on a sweet victory i think they should have quite a good run in the playoffs especially since they get to play most of their games at home, was anyone at the game last night its pretty sweet the students that show up for butler baseball games.

I was at the game last night. I appreciate school spirit, but a few Butler fans really took the low road with their personal heckling of Spencer Terry. Butler is a very talented baseball team and they deserve better from their fans. I hope they don't continue to embarrass themselves and their team as they move through the playoffs.

Its a group of 5 students and they are an embarrassment to Butler. The coach should show some class and shut them down.

You know. In most instances, it is usually only a few fans (sometimes only 1).
I was at the game as well. It was a huge spirited crowd.

Its just a stinkin baseball game people, if kids want to heckle they can heckle, The coach doesnt care and neither does the team who obviously arent affected by it. Yelling doesnt hurt anyone, most opposing team players just laugh and get motivated even its just in fun and half the time its actually kind of funny

Congratulations to both teams. Spencer Terry is top notch pitcher and it is especially amazing what he has done over the past week. I wish him continued success this year and beyond. Weddington just could not get anything started and when things looked promising the Butler defense would make plays. Combined with an outstanding pitching performance by Brandon Oatis and the Butler bats coming alive in clusters, it was just Butler's night.

Regarding the "5" Butler fans. I personally wish they would just be quiet and watch the game, but the actions of a few kids should not be confused with the attitudes of Butler coaches, players, parents or fans. These kids pay to attend, they don't use profanity and they are non-confrontational, they just yell smart @$$ remarks. I try to rationalize it as special training; like a little extra BP or a few more ground balls. Mental toughness is also part of baseball. Block it out and play ball, maybe one day you can be so lucky as to be on the field in New York or Boston and see what those "fans" will have for ya!

thankyou that is my point they dont try and start fights and we make sure not to cuss and for the most part after the game tell most players that they dont mean anything by it, trust me its just to have a little fun and get involved in the game and 80 percent of the cheering is positive towards the butler team, and lets admit some of it is funny

its better than most students at high school games who just sit there and dont say a word or parents that just complain to the umpire the whole time
