I would think that Northwest Guilford will throw Jake Rierson against Michael Velton in round one. Rierson was 6-0 in conference and seemed to pitch well through out the year. I agree this will be a very exciting game. Northwest is very good at home and Mt. Tabor will bring the sticks.

I think the East Forsyth/Davie game will be a good one as well. Davie is very hot and just last week defeated West Forsyth and Mt. Tabor on back to back nights. Davie can swing it and there pitching is ok. I hope the Eagles bring the "A" game Friday night. Anyone have any idea who might start for Davie Friday night?

    Intersesting...

Interesting that 7 of the top 10 teams (according to Impact) in the state are in the West and more precise, 4 of the top six are in the lower West bracket including numbers 1 and 2. Now I'm sure that the nchsaa doesn't consult Andy about seedings, but what are the criteria for determining which conferences and seeds are selected to play each other?

and the 4 of that top six you are referring to should play in the second round with AC Reynolds vs. Butler and South Caldwell vs. Providence but this is assuming they win Providence is the only one i would gaurentee and i only say that cuz i havent seen JM Robinson play but i have seen Myers Park and Weddington and depending on their pitching they can take their opponents

also interesting to note is the fact that the 5th seed Ardrey Kell doesnt have the most difficult road to the District Round

The NCHSAA publishes their championship brackets for all sports in their handbook which is released prior to the start of the school year.
