SC State Playoffs

    Defending 2A SC State Champion Andrew Jackson High led by Casey Faile won the SC Lower State Championship last night with a 10-0 win over Bishop England. Faile was the winning pitcher and also homered in the game. Overall state championship to be determined next week.

    SC 2A State Final

    Andrew Jackson vs. Chapman in 2A State Final. 1st game will be Monday, May 7th @ Chapman. 2nd game on Wednesday, May 9th @ Andrew Jackson, and if needed, final game will be at neutral site on Friday, May 11th.

    Good luck to Andrew Jackson as they try to capture back to back state championships!

    Recently had the good fotune to see both play.
    Congratulations to both teams on reaching the finals.
    If Bubba were in Vegas he would go ALL IN with little Miss Faile ...
    A.J . looks too strong behind Casey...LSU signee , Faile is slinging suger peas.

    She was very impressive, in deed, when I saw her against King Mtn. I just wish I could have been behind the backstop to see the speed and movement! I'm pulling for AJ!!!

    AJ takes game 1 of the best of 3 series 3-0 over Chapman. Game 2 Wednesday @ AJ.

    Most people will see that Andrew Jackson won 2 consecutive SC State Championships and not think much of it, since they are a 2A school. What most do not realize, is that this team back away from nobody. They loaded their schedule with quality 4A opponents, and beat just about everyone they played, including, what many consider to be one of the top contenders for the NC 3A title, Kings Mountain. No doubt in my mind that this team would hang, and probably beat the Butler's, Central Cabarrus's and Alexander Centrals of the world. Simply put, this is the best little 2A softball team that for the most part, nobody even knows exists.

    Can't wait to hopefully see Casey Faile (LSU) and Ashton Ward (Tennessee) battle it out in the SEC. It is a strong testament to how far fastpitch softball has come in the Carolina's.

    Hats off to the entire Andrew Jackson softball team. You are on quite an epic and unbelievable run. Congratulations!!

    Disagree To A Point---Maybe Not AJ---But

    You might be right about the school not being known,but most people know the identity of Casey Faile, she is one of the best riseball pitchers in the S.E., and yes I will have to agree if you are playing an undisciplined team that is suckers for riseballs she will cause most hitters to commit...People need to get off the bandwagon about what division they are in..just because you are 2A doesn't mean you not as good as a 4A school or can't compete with 4A...2A & 4A distinguished only because of population,it's not a "TITLE"...what if you had all Casey Faile's as team mates then you could beat 5A schools !!!!!
