No details from me. My son plays for Piedmont. My friends son graduated from NW Cabarrus last year. He called to see how we did and told me the score from the Glenn game.

Glenn won 1-0 over NW Cabarrus. It was a scoreless game in the 5th when Corey Parker led off the inning with a double, and was later knocked in by leadoff man Charlie Jordan

    WP: Casey Smith
LP: Ryan Overcash (tough luck loss)

Southwest Guilford beat Lake Norman 1-0. It was a scoreless game in the 4th when Warren Slack knocked in Chad Hockaday with 2 outs for the game's only run. Slack also threw a complete game 2-hitter

    WP: Warren Slack
LP: Garrett Braun (tough luck loss)

Ragsdale won 12-3 over AL Brown. Domination from what I heard.

    WP: David Coffey
    LP: ?

Glenn plays Piedmont on Tuesday at Glenn
Southwest travels to Ragsdale on Tuesday

what? what? you don't believe me? I heard it from Coffey who heard it from Fultz who had someone call him that said it was so. Said Slack pitched a 2 hit shutout for SWG.

As for the Ragsdale game, no offense to tj21 or the Wonders, but that was a tough game to watch.

The Wonders got off to a good start. TJ's son drew a lead off walk, then two outs later ALex Edwards( I hope that's right) drilled a first pitch blast over the left field fence. A walk and another single had Ragsdale on the ropes but a runner was thrown out going from first to third. David Coffey started for Ragsdale tonight and got the win but it was not one of his better outings.

But K-Town gave it right back to us. Wright started for K-Town and between him and the other pitchers they gave up 5 hit batters, 8 walks and several errors in the field throughout the game. In the first in ning alone - two hit batters, two errors, two walks, three singles and a sac fly led to five runs. Ragsdale scored four more in the second on two walks and four singles. It looked like it would end early but Edwards led off the fourth with another first pitch double and scored on an RBI grounder from Morales to make the score 10-3. Ragsdale scored two more in the fourth on two more hit batters, a triple by Tyler Rankin and a passed ball.

Maness emptied his bench as every player batted over the fifth and sixth innings. Catlin Carter pitched two innings giving up a double a walk and hitting a batter but recording six strikeouts. His fastball was working tonight and while his curveball was hanging they weren't swinging at it. Bennett Hixon pitched the sixth. Coffey got the win, giving up three runs on three hits and two walks, striking out one. He's 9-1 on the year now and Ragsdale goes to 22-3.

For Kannapolis, Edwards was 2-3, DB, HR, two RBIs and two runs scored. Ragsdale was led by Ben Fultz, 2-3 with a walk, HBP, two RBIs and 2 runs. Nate Cash was 1-4 with a SAC Fly and3 RBIs. Jason Wallace was 2-3, 2 walks, 1 RBI, two runs and more great defensive at third. Zack Bumgarner was 2-3, with a SAC Fly and 2 RBIs. Of Ragsdale's 9 hits only was for for extra bases. It was a good win but the nine day layoff didn't really help them.

Up next is big time, cross town rival SW Guilford. The field will be packed just like it was last year when Trevor Mullins struck out 16 in a 1-0 Tiger win. If you want to see a great game on Tuesday that will be the best one on the schedule that night.
