    Piedmont 6 East Randolph 5

Wild Game. ER scored one in the top of the third, Piedmont answered with a three run homer from Brandon Santiago in the bottom half. Score stayed that way 'till the 7th, when the Piedmont starting pitcher walked the first batter, followed by a single to right and an infield single. Lee came in and walked the first batter and hit the next. Next batter hits a slow roller towards second and the play couldn't be made at first but the runner over-ran third and got out in a pickle. When the top half of the inning ended it was 5-3 ER. ER then changed pitchers to start the bottom half of the 7th and he walked the first two, followed by a single. Next batter hits a chopper to a drawn in 3rd base where he tags the runner going home but throws it away at 1st trying for the DP and a run scores, with runners moving up. Next batter hits a SAC to score the tying run. Throw home sails and runners move to 2nd and 3rd with two out. ER Starting pitcher comes back to the mound and hits the next batter to load the bases. Next batter goes full count then takes ball four for the winning RBI. Wildest finish I've seen in a while. The starting pitcher for ER (I think his name was Issop) did a good job all night. It was unfortunate for him that he came back in to take the loss in a hard fought game. Congratulations to Piedmont and good luck at Glenn Tuesday.

Zack White threw a 4 hit shutout. He was supported by solid team defense & another bomb by Daniel Kassouf. Plus Zack ripped 2 doubles to help his own cause.

    Parkland 8, Mooresville 4

Too many errors, too much lost composure by a very young team.
Congratulations Mooresville on a fun and exciting season. First conf champs in 22 years and only one senior starter. Lets hope we are starting a tradition. Lots of talent coming all the way to 8th grade. Good luck Parkland and congratulations on your win.
