I think its been proven over the year that South Caldwell can't hit fast pitching very well.

Mcdaniels from East Burke held them to three runs
Leach from ER held them to one run
Myers Park pitcher held them to two runs
Runion held them to three runs

So seeing that each of these pitchers have held them to 3 runs or less, I think Mailman (which is just as good as any of those pitchers) will shove it Tuesday. Providence has some hitters so I wouldn't be surprised if they gave Bumgarner a fit. My guess would be that they will score 3-4 runs.

Oh, and Braves, Great scouting report. I love the sarcasm. I don't guess many of these SC fans have seen Providence play, or any solid team out of there conference play. I think this is when their weak non-conference schedule will catch up to them. They could be a little shocked Tuesday.

I think Providence will win 4-3 in a barn burner.

    ??????????

Not sure where carolina07 is coming from, but this SC Fan isn't speculating anything and that would probably be best for the rest also. Providence ain't no joke. We had better be ready to hit tuesday and play solid defense. like seminole said, our hitting against strong pitching has been......, well it pretty much SUCKS!!! Probably going to be a very good game.

This game should be a great match up. Position by position it looks very even. it will come down to the best player of each team, whichever one has his best game will win, Madison or Mailman. I've gotta give the edge to Madison tho

one guy pops off and you guys think the team and all the fans think sc cant be beat. should be a great game. i know teams all through the 4a brackets would love to get that easy match up against south. little more sarcasm. i wouldnt be surprised if its 5-1 with either team winning. anything can happen in baseball, look at the roberson game. good luck to both teams.

    Thanks Braves...

Gee thanks Braves, whose side are you on anyway, Providence or the Porkchop.

For the record we had heard nothing but good things about Myers Park and Providence too for that matter. Myers Park gave us a good game and we expect nothing less from Providence.

    Should be a good one.

    What game?

I blinked and it was over. I think the game lasted 1hr 10min. We've had 5 inning games last twice that long.

But seriously, both pitchers worked fast and did not waste alot of pitches. They both did a fine job in a true pitcher's duel.

Not sure what the MP pitcher's record was, but if he pitched that way all year it should have been a good one. He threw a nice cutter & slider, fastball had late pop to it, and he changed arm slots effectively.

Messer had another good outing, as he is always tough on the mound. Chavis added another monster shot that was badly needed.

Good games are what you expect to see in the playoffs.

    Sounds like a plan...

Maybe we should eat porkchop sandwiches before the game Tues., of course we would want Braves to come join us and he might as well bring his buddy Dbacks. Get them chops ready!
