    South Iredell vs Lincolnton

    5/11
    AT East Lincoln High School

    Lincolnton 4
    S. Iredell 3

    WP:Harlie Roberts

Bethany Webster (SI) hit a homerun with one on over the left field fence in the bottom of 1st. Congratulations to Bethany and all the South Iredell girls. Kelsey Spangler did a good job on the hill for SI. Kayla Kerley also had a double in the game. SI just couldn't get the hit they need. Left bases loaded a couple of times.

Congratulations to the Wolves of Lincolnton. Good luck in the playoffs.
Good game. Sorry I missed you SIFan!!

Yep CFBall, the WL-KM game was very much a pitching duel, both pitchers were on their game. West walked a few while I don't remember Childers walking any, but I heard one scorekeeper say there were only 3 hits between the 2 teams. West has more than a couple very good contact hitters that rarely strike out, but nobody could put a bat on KM's pitches. More movement on that ball than Elvis's pelvis....ha. The rise ball and curves were unreal. Didn't stick around for the Cherryville game that followed but knew they really had their work cut out for them.

Well, I predicted that Rhyne and Self could go down there and have good games, but Morgan is one of a kind. I'm very impressed by the scores for both games. It had to be a great experience for West and Cherryville. Sometimes, teams will fold up the tent when they know scoring is going to be difficult, but obviously neither team did. I say both teams have a lot to be proud of!

On the other hand, KM has been hitting the ball lately, but sounds like they didn't really tear it up today? Playoffs are here, these 3, and many others, we're pulling for you!

    hmm...

    Did she have a perfect game? 7 x 3k per inning = 21k.

If so, should be noted also.
